Bilge Academic Publishing is committed to protecting the integrity of the scholarly record and takes all allegations of research and publication misconduct seriously. Suspected misconduct is investigated fairly, confidentially, and impartially in accordance with the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) Core Practices and relevant COPE Flowcharts. Appropriate action is taken whenever evidence indicates that ethical standards have been violated.
Research misconduct includes, but is not limited to, data fabrication, data falsification, plagiarism, duplicate or redundant publication, image manipulation, inappropriate authorship, citation manipulation, unethical research involving human or animal participants, peer review manipulation, undisclosed conflicts of interest, and any other practices that compromise the integrity, reliability, or transparency of scholarly research.
All allegations of misconduct are assessed confidentially and objectively by the editorial office. Authors may be asked to provide original data, supporting documentation, or explanations where appropriate. When necessary, Bilge Academic Publishing may communicate with the authors’ institutions, funding organizations, or other relevant bodies and will follow the applicable COPE guidance throughout the investigation.
When misconduct is confirmed or there is sufficient evidence to question the reliability of a publication, Bilge Academic Publishing may take appropriate corrective action. Depending on the circumstances, this may include rejection of the manuscript, publication of a correction or expression of concern, retraction of the article, notification of relevant institutions or funding bodies, and, where appropriate, restrictions on future submissions. All actions are taken with the objective of preserving the integrity, accuracy, and transparency of the scholarly record.
