Bilge Academic Publishing supports the use of Open Researcher and Contributor ID (ORCID) to improve the accurate identification of researchers, enhance the transparency of scholarly publishing, and ensure proper attribution of academic contributions. Authors are encouraged, and where required by individual journals, expected to provide an authenticated ORCID iD during manuscript submission. ORCID identifiers are included in article metadata deposited with Crossref, enabling reliable author identification and improving interoperability across scholarly databases, indexing services, repositories, and research information systems. Where supported by the journal’s submission and publishing platform, published articles may be automatically linked to authors’ ORCID records to ensure that their publication history remains accurate and up to date. Bilge Academic Publishing also supports the recognition of peer review activities through ORCID and other trusted reviewer recognition services where available, promoting transparency and appropriate acknowledgment of reviewers’ scholarly contributions.
