Editors play a central role in safeguarding research quality, ensuring ethical publishing practices, and upholding the integrity of the peer review process. We provide editorial guidance, publishing infrastructure, and professional production services that enable editors to focus on scientific excellence while preserving editorial independence.
Editors are responsible for managing manuscripts in a fair, objective, and timely manner. Editorial decisions must be based solely on the scholarly merit, originality, methodological quality, ethical compliance, and relevance of the submitted work. Editors are expected to oversee a rigorous double blind peer review process, maintain confidentiality, manage conflicts of interest appropriately, and follow the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) guidance when addressing ethical concerns or publication misconduct.
Bilge Academic Publishing fully respects the editorial independence of every journal. Editors have complete authority over editorial decisions, including manuscript acceptance, revision, and rejection. The publisher does not interfere with editorial judgments, and commercial, financial, or institutional considerations never influence publication decisions.
The publisher provides comprehensive editorial support throughout the publication process, including an online manuscript submission and peer review system, similarity screening, DOI registration through Crossref, metadata preparation, copyediting, typesetting, online publication, digital preservation through the PKP Preservation Network (PKP PN), and technical assistance for indexing and journal development.
Bilge Academic Publishing works closely with Editors in Chief to establish and maintain qualified, diverse, and internationally representative editorial boards. Editors are encouraged to recruit active researchers with recognized expertise, promote geographical diversity, regularly review board membership, and ensure that editorial policies remain transparent, current, and aligned with international publishing standards.
