Bilge Academic Publishing supports the principles of transparency, reproducibility, and Open Science by encouraging authors to make the research data underlying their published findings openly available whenever possible. Authors are expected to provide clear information regarding the availability of the data supporting their research while respecting ethical, legal, and confidentiality obligations.
All research articles should include a Data Availability Statement indicating whether the data supporting the findings are publicly available, available upon reasonable request, subject to access restrictions, or not available. The statement should clearly explain where the data can be accessed and under what conditions.
Authors are encouraged to deposit research data, code, protocols, and other supporting materials in trusted institutional, disciplinary, or general purpose repositories that provide long term preservation and persistent identifiers such as DOIs. Datasets should be appropriately cited in the manuscript to facilitate transparency, reproducibility, and data reuse.
Where research data cannot be made publicly available due to ethical, legal, privacy, confidentiality, or contractual restrictions, authors should clearly explain the reasons for these limitations in the Data Availability Statement. Where appropriate, authors should indicate whether access to the data may be granted upon reasonable request and describe the conditions under which such access may be considered.
Editors may request access to underlying research data when necessary to verify the integrity, validity, or reproducibility of a submitted manuscript. Authors are expected to cooperate with reasonable requests for supporting data during the peer review process or following publication, provided that doing so does not violate ethical or legal obligations.
