Bilge Academic Publishing is committed to promoting transparency, accountability, and fair recognition of individual contributions to scholarly research. To achieve this, our journals use the Contributor Roles Taxonomy (CRediT), an internationally recognized framework that provides a standardized description of each author’s specific contributions to a research project and publication.

Authors are required, or where specified by individual journals encouraged, to assign the appropriate CRediT roles during manuscript submission. The taxonomy includes fourteen contributor roles, including Conceptualization, Methodology, Software, Validation, Formal Analysis, Investigation, Resources, Data Curation, Writing – Original Draft, Writing – Review & Editing, Visualization, Supervision, Project Administration, and Funding Acquisition. The contribution statement is published with the final article to ensure transparency regarding each author’s role in the research and publication process.

The use of CRediT supports responsible authorship by improving contributor recognition, strengthening accountability, reducing authorship disputes, and providing a clear record of individual scholarly contributions. It complements, but does not replace, internationally recognized authorship criteria such as those recommended by the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE).
