Publication Ethics

Complaints & Appeals

Bilge Academic Publishing is committed to ensuring that all editorial decisions and publishing processes are conducted fairly, transparently, and in accordance with the highest standards of publication ethics. Authors, reviewers, readers, and other stakeholders have the right to raise complaints regarding editorial procedures, publication ethics, peer review, or editorial conduct, and authors may appeal editorial decisions when they believe that a decision was based on a misunderstanding, factual error, or procedural concern. Appeals must be supported by a clear and reasoned explanation addressing the specific issues raised during the editorial or peer review process. All complaints and appeals are acknowledged promptly and investigated confidentially, objectively, and impartially by editors or publisher representatives who were not directly involved in the original decision whenever possible. The outcome of the investigation is communicated to the complainant together with the reasons supporting the final decision. Bilge Academic Publishing handles complaints and appeals in accordance with the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) Core Practices and relevant COPE Flowcharts. Where appropriate, unresolved cases may be referred to the authors’ institutions or other relevant bodies, and complainants may seek further guidance from COPE where its procedures are applicable.
