Bilge Academic Publishing is committed to ensuring transparency, accountability, and integrity in authorship. Authorship should accurately reflect each individual’s intellectual contribution to the research and publication. All authors are expected to comply with internationally recognized standards of responsible authorship, including the recommendations of the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE).
To qualify as an author, an individual must have made a substantial intellectual contribution to the conception or design of the study, the acquisition, analysis, or interpretation of data, or the drafting or critical revision of the manuscript. All authors must approve the final version of the manuscript before submission and accept responsibility for the accuracy and integrity of the published work.
Bilge Academic Publishing encourages the use of the CRediT (Contributor Roles Taxonomy) to provide a transparent description of each author’s specific contributions. Contribution statements help ensure appropriate recognition of individual roles and promote accountability throughout the publication process.
Requests to add, remove, or reorder authors after manuscript submission require a written explanation and the explicit written consent of all listed authors, including any authors being added or removed. Such requests are evaluated by the editorial office and may require additional documentation before approval.
Bilge Academic Publishing does not permit guest authorship, gift authorship, or ghost authorship. Individuals who do not meet the accepted criteria for authorship should be acknowledged appropriately but should not be listed as authors. Any suspected authorship misconduct will be investigated in accordance with COPE guidance and the publisher’s publication ethics policies.
